Would anyone have any experience they might be kind enough to share in using Suprelorin implants in female ferrets to suppress oestrus whilst on study?

I don't have any experience of suprelorin in ferrets on study but I have used it many many times in pet and breeding ferrets in practice.

It works very well. Despite the seemingly large dose for such a small creature the implant, in my experience, rarely remains effective beyond about 6 months, even though it is supposed to last up to 12 months. They do tolerate it well, though I recommend administering the implant under sedation if possible - it's a big needle!

Use the 4.7mg dose size.
